We are still waiting for the quotation for Library furniture. If you could provide us this amount with in a week, we will forward the full amount otherwise, we will transfer the above amount and furniture amount will be send to you later.
We know that you are working with the students for the scholarship award and could you please update how the selection are made and do you have a committee for this process. If so, as we mentioned to you we would like to include OBA St. Michael's (Batticaloa) member in that committee and as you mentioned this will be an additional support for you.
The committee agrees with your changes for the scholarship per your point No; 3 in your letter dated May 4th 2007.

Yesterday I checked with the bank and the money (LKR.438000/=) has arrived. I thank all the members of the OBA of North American branch for this gift and this will be properly beneficially used for the students of St.Michael’s College for their progress in studies.

This year we had started a new project for our college students who will be entering University. Each year the committee in Batticaloa(Principle, OBA Batticaloa President, Secretary and Sectional Heads of A/L classes) will be selecting 16 Students who deserves this donation which is based on their family financial and also future commitment to the college's etc.,
The cost of this project is supported by our members we take this opportunity to thank Dr. Ahilan from New York who gave us the idea with a donation and that was followed by some of our committee members. We also, request our general members who are willing to contribute towards this project please contact us and so that we could improve this project in future.
